Shabby Road Orchestra performs 'Abbey Road':

      artist website

A steadfast and exhilarating live performance of the iconic studio recording on the occasion of its 50th anniversary year, uninterrupted and in its entirety. The Shabby Road Orchestra is an overachieving 12-piece Minneapolis rock collective featuring Adam Levy, John Eller, John Fields, Ken Chastain, Joe Carey, Brandon Sampson and others. Following their performance of the 1969 album, the band will return for a second set of rarely performed recordings from the Beatles studio years.

      About Shabby Road Orchestra:

Abbey Road, the Beatles final studio recording, has sold 31 million copes worldwide and is known song-by-song to every fan of the rock catalog. The Shabby Road Orchestra is an ad-hoc Minneapolis rock collective dedicated to intermittent, over-achieving live recreations of the Beatles iconic studio years albums, note-for-note on the occasion of their 50th anniversary. The show is a celebration of the music first to last, with no costumes, whigs or impersonations but plenty of sly banter and good vibes. This is the third year of the project, with previous years including sold-out Icehouse performances of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Magical Mystery Tour, and the White Album. The lineup changes from show to show depending upon the project, but consists of a core band made up of Adam Levy (vocals and guitars), John Eller (vocals guitar and piano), John Fields (bass), Ken Chastain (percussion, vocals and bass), Tom "Spicy T." Scott (keys, percussion and SFX), Joe Carey (vocals and guitars), Brandon Sampson (vocals and guitars), Paul Scott (piano and vocals), Jacqueline Ultan (cello), Dave Foley (horns), Andy Nelson (woodwinds), John Sievers (horns).
