Minnesota Public Radio presents Witsâ„¢ with Bobcat Goldthwait at the Fitzgerald Theater on Friday, June 15th at 8:00 p.m. With two seasons under our belt, Wits is preparing for an incredible spring season, bringing some of the country's funniest storytellers and musicians to the Fitzgerald Theater. Host John Moe engages his guests in a raucous discussion and the audience can join in conversation on Twitter.

Bobcat Goldthwait is a comedian, actor, screenwriter and director known for his dark, comic wit. Goldthwait began his career as one of the most successful and strangest comedians of the 80s. The first film he wrote and directed, "Shakes the Clown," was called by the Boston Globe the "Citizen Cane of alcoholic clown movies." Since then, his films have been called "demonically funny and surprisingly sweet" and "HILARIOUS." In addition to directing movies, he's lent his behind the camera talents to shows such as "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Demetri Martin show," "The Chappelle Show," and more.

Unfortunately St. Vincent's international travel schedule hit complications and she isn't able to make the trip to St. Paul. She apologizes for any and all inconveniences this causes, and hopes to be back in the future. Despite this disappointing news, we are thrilled to announce an outstanding music guest for this Friday's Wits. Steven Page was the lead singer and co-founder of The Barenaked Ladies, and will be joining Bobcat Goldthwait, host John Moe and music director John Munson on stage. As an added surprise, Dave Pirner, lead singer of the Grammy-winning Soul Asylum, will stop by for a song.

Shows start at 8:00 p.m., but the party starts early. Come at 7:00 p.m. for the Tweet-up. Current DJ Barb Abney will spin some song and you can get yourself one of our drink specials. After the show, we keep the lights on and the bar open, so everyone can join in the conversation and have a Big Ginger®, made with 2 GINGERS Whiskey.

All single show tickets are $32.00. Minnesota Public Radio Members receive a $2.00 discount of the price of each ticket.
